7 načina na koje vam tapete mogu učiniti dom još ljepšim
Each wallpaper and mural, with carefully selected patterns and motifs, is created to uniquely enhance your walls. The type of wallpaper and motif adaptation depends on the position in the space – we most often choose wallpapers for living rooms, hallways, and children's rooms.
Design according to the type of room
For living rooms, considering that it usually involves a larger wall area, a somewhat larger pattern is recommended so that the image displayed by the wallpaper can be nicely visible from any viewing angle in the room. Children's rooms are a special story, where you can let your imagination run wild and play with cheerful colors, shapes, and motifs that tell their fairy-tale story. Smaller patterns are desirable, as well as larger patterns that form a single image in the form of a mural.
Hallways are mostly narrow, so it is not recommended to cover the entire hallway with an accent pattern – a greater effect is achieved if a wallpaper is placed behind, for example, a mirror (which is predominantly always placed in the hallway).
Design according to color scheme
Before choosing a wallpaper, it is always necessary to match the colors on the wallpaper with those in the space, to avoid too much contrast between them.
According to room size
Wallpapers significantly influence the impression of space. If, for example, we use smaller patterns, we can create the impression of a larger space and vice versa, with large motifs making the space more compact. A similar effect can be achieved with the choice of colors, where darker wallpapers create a smaller, more enclosed, perhaps even more intimate space, while light wallpapers make it open and airy.
An additional trick often used is wallpapers with pronounced horizontal or vertical patterns. They visually enlarge or reduce the space – depending on how we apply them. On low ceilings, for example, we effectively influence by using wallpapers with vertical stripe patterns.
Complementary design
If you want to particularly highlight certain objects in the space (for example, a plant, pictures, or shelves on the wall), a complementary-colored wallpaper can be placed behind them. In the case of a plant, that would be red. It can also be highlighted with a color from the same spectrum (green), but it should be noted that the color should be a lighter or darker shade so that the object does not completely blend with the wallpaper.
According to shapes
Furniture or the space itself can emphasize certain shapes with its form or style, such as a sharp geometric appearance or one full of curves. These can also be transferred to the walls and accompanied by wallpapers or murals to further blend the space into its unique style.
According to patterns
Do you have furniture or objects that bring certain patterns to the forefront? Transfer that style to the walls and further blend the space into a whole. However, be careful to maintain harmony and not overload the space with patterns.
